Long Range Shooting
Long range shooting is generally considered to be shooting at targets past 600 yards, with 1000 yards being the "marathon" distance. Extreme long range shooting is generally beyond 1000 yards.
The many factors involved in hitting targets at these distances are greatly magnified as compared to shooting at under 600 yards and the difficulty of precision hits is increased by an order of magnitude.
